Transdermal Magnesium Chloride - A Brief Background

"The range of pathologies associated with magnesium deficiency is staggering: hypertension (cardiovascular disease, kidney and liver damage etc), peroxynitrite damage (migraine, multiple sclerosis, glaucoma, alzheimers etc), recurrent bacterial infection due to low levels of nitric oxide in the cavities (sinuses, vagina, middle ear, lungs, throat etc), fungal infection due to a suppressed immune system, thiamine deactivation (low gastric acid, behavioral disorders etc), premenstrual syndrome, calcium deficiency (osteoporosis, mood swings etc), tooth cavities, hearing loss, diabetes type 2, cramps, muscle weakness, impotence, aggression, fibromas, potassium deficiency, arrhythmia, hypertension, some forms of cancer, iron accumulation, etc."

- Dr Steve Johnson

Magnesium has been used for hundreds of years in traditional Chinese medicine and is referred to as 'The beautiful metal' by practitioners of this incredibly effective but universally ignored form of treatment. Western and international pharmaceutical companies have relegated this once venerated elixir to the shelves of health food shops and the realms of the mental health industry, suppressing what could be the miracle cure of the 21st century.

However, even within the dominant pharmaceutical circles, the use of magnesium is not a new thing.

The Source Of Our Magnesium.

Our product is ultra pure magnesium chloride from deep beneath the earth, more specifically, the ancient Zechstein seabed deposits. These 250 million year old deposits are incredibly pure as they lie 1600m to 2000m below the surface of the earth. This pristine source yields the purest magnesium oil in the world. Zechstein Minerlas BV was established in 2006 to serve the cosmetic and medical markets with the naturally pure magnesium chloride from the Zechstein source.

To say that magnesium is important in health and medicine is a huge understatement. Magnesium is essential in over 300 biochemical reactions in the body. Today's dietary intake is sadly lacking in this essential mineral. With Western diets containing more and more processed foods subjected to longer transport times, not only is magnesium lost through these processes, but foods rich in this essential mineral (wholegrains, nuts, seafood, dark green vegetables) do not appear as often in our diets as they used to.

The result is that normal consumption levels of magnesium are only half what they were 50 years ago! Asian diets contain much greater levels of magnesium (more than twice those of the West) and Asian incidences of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity and osteoporosis are almost unheard of.

The benefits of maintaining a healthy balance of electrolytes are many and considering most of us may be up to 80% deficient in Magnesium, it is important that we have an efficient method of delivering magnesium to our bodies in an easily absorbable form. Transdemal magnesium chloride is by far the most effective means of maintaining magnesium levels within our bodies.

Are You An M.E/CFS Patient?

I have severe M.E, and got much benefit from Magnesium Oil. Reduced pain, lowered anxiety, and eased insomnia.

Magnesium is one of the most recommended supplements for M.E/CFS patients. If you can't persuade your GP to prescribe you intramuscular Magnesium injections, and don't like the idea of doing them yourself,
then Transdermal is the way to go.

More expensive than bathing regularly in Epsom Salts, but a whole lot more portable, and quicker acting than a soak in the bath!

I have recently purchased your joint pain pack which contains the magnesium spray. I am getting a very strong metalic taste in my mouth which affects everything I eat. Is this normal?

HOW TO MAKE IT:

Sample recipe:
1/2 cup of Magnesium Chloride crystals dissolved in 1/2 cup boiling water will give you a (very generous) one week supply.
Once this mixture cools down, put it in a spray bottle or a plastic travel bottle.

Dosage:
Apply liberally to the body.
8 sprays of magnesium oil delivers about 100mg of elemental magnesium to the skin.

Caveats:
It can sting and feels somewhat oily/sticky to the touch. If stinging is too much for you, dilute your mixture by adding more water.
If necessary, wait 20 minutes before you rinse the magnesium oil off your body. The majority of the magnesium ions will have been absorbed into the skin by then.
